Allison Andrews is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, a CATCH Canine Academy Mentor Trainer and a UKC Nose Work Certifying Official. She graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College in 2008 and attended All Dogs Academy Instructors Training Course. Allison spent three years mentoring with a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Certified Nose Work Instructor. She's attended several Nose Work camps and annually attends multiple Scent Work workshops, seminars, and courses in an effort to quench her curiosity. Allison owns Foothills Canine Academy and since 2011 has been teaching Scent Work classes in Greenville, SC, and Asheville, NC, as well as assisting pets and their people with behavioral issues.

Allison competed at the first Nose Work trial in the Southeast in 2012. That day her 13-year-old Corgi Mix Maggie earned her NW1, first place overall and the Harry Award. Her environmentally sensitive and fearful dog Millie has so far achieved two NW3 titles, even earning placements at this level due to their incredible teamwork. Recently adopted Coonhound mix Maisie is just getting started, earning her NW1 Pronounced title, AKC SW Novice title, UKC legs and is already accumulating placements. Her students successfully compete at UKC, AKC and the top levels of NACSW.

Allison's study of different methods allows her to adapt her methodology to the most effective style based on her assessment of the handler and dog team. Always at the center is a philosophy of the dog as the expert guide and the handler as the interpreter and supporter.
